Messi and Lautaro Lead Argentina to Victory Over Guatemala
Dominant Performance in Final Copa Tune-Up
Argentina's national soccer team put in a strong performance in their final warm-up match ahead of the Copa America, securing a 4-1 victory over Guatemala at the StubHub Center in Carson, California.
Lionel Messi and Lautaro Martinez each netted a brace for Argentina, with the former scoring his goals in the 32nd and 44th minutes, respectively. Martinez added his goals in the 57th and 64th minutes to put the game out of reach for Guatemala.
Guatemala managed to pull one goal back through Darwin Lom in the 68th minute, but it was not enough to deny Argentina a comfortable victory.
Argentina will now head into the Copa America full of confidence, having won three of their four warm-up matches. They will open their tournament campaign against Colombia on June 15th.
